Out and On: March 12, 2018

We have some pretty exciting things going this week. Lots of stuff to read, buy, and enjoy. Hopefully this helps you narrow it down. Here we go!

Movies

Justice League

This week marks the release of one of the better movies in the DC Cinematic Universe, Justice League. There are plenty of exclusive versions, so weigh your options carefully. This is packed with extras and featurettes, if that is something that you look for as a collector.

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: The Flash

These Lego movies all find a way to be fun, and who embodies fun and adventure more than the Flash? No one. Well, no one in the DC universe. Either way, this looks like it will be a good time for fans of the series

Television

The CW

This week, the Legends of Tomorrow go back and visit Elvis, Barry loses his speed while Iris gains it, Black Lightning works to clear his name, while Arrow starts a break. Action packed week, but I'm most looking forward to the Flash.

Gotham

This episode sees Ivy in the spotlight, while Bruce attempts to reconnect with Alfred. This show goes off the rails and is still a fun watch, but if you pride yourself on being a Batman purist, I'd recommend staying away from this.

Agents of SHIELD

Fresh off of the series' 100th (!!) episode, the team is in search for Gravitonium. This remains one of the best comic book shows on TV driven by it's characters, which is impressive because only 1 of the main characters is directly from the comics.

Comic Books

DC

Action Comics #999

A long overdue conversation between General Lane and Superman. It looks like this will impact their relationship going forward, especially as it relates to young Jon. Big issue leading up to Action Comics #1000.

Mister Miracle #7

Spinning out of the last excellent issue (check out our review), Mister Miracle and Big Barda deal with the fallout of big news as well as the consequences of what Scott Free discovered last issue in relation to Darkseid.

Marvel

Avengers #684

It's been building for a few issues now and finally, here comes the Hulk! Back to life and more pissed off than ever before, introducing Hulk back into the Marvel Universe is a big deal, especially with Hawkeye joining the fray last issue. This issue should be exciting, especially since all is not exactly as it seems regarding Voyager.

Marvel 2-in-1 #4

Ben and Johnny begin their search of the multiverse for the rest of their teammates. Ben believes the rest of the family to be dead because of a message Reed left him, but under direction from Reed, he's keeping Johnny hopeful to keep his spirits up. But we know the other half of the FF is alive and well. Will we get a reintroduction of sorts through this book?
